CLIII • 2013 - A summary

Hello Darkness my old friend..
Suprised, aren't you? I've come to a point where I can't promise when to update. But I want to keep blogging, but there's so much in my life right now that I barely find time to do anything except all the business that I have to take care of. I was thinking to update from today (2015-11-12) but I thought you might be interested in seeing what I've done the past two (!) years. So here's a little recap of 2013, please enjoy.

Here's a picture of my home, where I grew up and used to live. There's a lot of memories from this place - Good and bad. But my home will always be my home.

Boys of Summer. Simon & Tobias.
Swedish summer is the best day of the year (Swedish joke, since it usually rains all summer people refer to summer as one single day when the weather is nice.)

If you're ever in Gothenburg I would recommend this club! It's the only place I go to (since I rarely go out) BatAAr and friends are always on the V-VIP list, so maybe that's why I go? I don't feel like standing in line haha.

Just another night, manage to lit up the tray as well.. Be careful!

If people ever wondered how me and Patrik lives... Here it is.

CLII • Närcon II

As always I've been very busy, even more busy than I use to be. I haven't had a day off since.. I can't even remember? That busy. But anyway, here's the second part of my NärCon visit. Since I took a lot of pictures I decided to make it into two entries.

How to train a dragon feat Marcus!

E, J & O

I went on a successful Idol hunt.

J & K
I should've gotten a scooter, there was about a ten minute walk between buildings so it would've been nice, the more you know. Maybe next time!

Group photo.
O, M, J
J, K, C, C, E

And as always I pretty much only took photos of friends since it's harder to take pictures of strangers, but they're cute so it's alright!

CLI • 【SPONSORED】review「red」

I haven't done a review in a very long time so I figured it was about time I did a new one. I want to try out as many colors as possible so I could find my favorite color, so this time I went with red lenses. And I wanted them to be really red! Since I passed 500 followers with Google Friend Connect I went and contacted PinkyParadise.com -  And I decided to go with Vassen Dolly Plus Red.

And as always - all my reviews are my honest opinion. None of the information/opinions in my reviews are biased.

I try to get lenses with a big percentage of water since they feel more smooth, and a big diameter. I'm not really sure how the diameter affects the eye, but I like the look of it so that's why I prefer to get them as big as possible. And the black rim is also important - at least for me!

Packaging - Padded envelope. Nothing to complain about.

The lenses had an extra wrapping with foam which was really nice. The case was included and I got a little bonus item. It's supposed to "stick" to your hair so it won't get in the way. But it didn't really work for me. I usually wear a bandana, cap or a towel on my head to keep the hair away.

If you're like me and don't have perfect vision - No need to worry.

For some reason the black rim on one of the lenses seem to be a bit thinner. The description says 14.5mm/15.0mm so it might be intended, but I'm not sure. If you look really close you can see the transparent part (where the black is "missing) on the lens to the right.

Inside the case (and a little secret for another time..!)

Light make-up

Light make-up

Heavier make-up

There were some minor issues, but I think that it was just the lens I got and not all of them. The rim was a bit smaller and one of the lenses didn't feel as smooth and soft as the other one. But overall a great experience. PinkyParadise are very professional, quick, and easy to communicate with. I would definitely recommend them to my readers!

Design · 4/5 | Enlargement · 4/5 | Comfort · 4/5 | Overall · 4/5

Design · Great design, the red really pops! The one rim - is it supposed to be smaller?
Enlargement · You can probably see, they enlarge quiet a lot.
Comfort · Soft and very lean, but one of them isn't as soft as the other one for some reason.

CL • NärCon I

Long time no see! the two upcoming posts will be very picture heavy, so I'll probably add a "Read more"-split to not take up too much space on the first page.

But hopefully you'll like it! I also got another camera, this time I got myself a Canon 550D, I thought it was the most praiseworthy camera out there. Sure, a D7 would be better, sturdier, better buttons etc. but since the quality is basically the exact same the 550D became an obvious choice since it's half the price of a 7D. I also got a Canon Speedlite 430 EX, since the pop-up flash is beyond terrible. (Oh yea, I also landed another work - I'm a night club photographer now as well). Anyway, enough about that!

I've always heard people talking about NärCon being "the best con", even as far back as 2005-2006 when I started visiting cons, so it was about time I finally went there. It also happens to be the biggest convention in Scandinavia! Rocking my new favorite shoes for the trip, guess what shoes they are?!

Since I'm too old to sleep in a sleeping hall I decided to pick a 4-star hotel instead so I could live like a decent human being. We also got a pretty nice gym'n'chill area. There was a bigger pool and a jacuzzi too, and a sauna but I wasn't that tempted to go into the sauna when it was 30°C outside...

Forced roomie to do my hair hehe ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

CXLIX • Thailand V

Slow and steady wins the race, or something..? But I've finally come to the end of my "Thailand-series", which took an astonishing one year to complete. I'm too slow haha. But hopefully you've enjoyed it!

At first I usually went by taxi to get around in BKK, but I decided to take the BTS (skytrain) around, which is way faster, and cheaper! It can take ten minutes or an hour to get to the same place if you take a taxi. So I would recommend doing this instead! And it's always nice and cool on the BTS.

Not as impressive as it sounds, but it was kinda cool with the smoke and moving chairs!

MOS Burger, they had some really nice and fresh burgers. It didn't feel as greasy as fast food burgers usually do.

What a name, haha.

I also did some tourist things like visiting Siam Ocean World, a huge aquarium underneath the shopping mall Siam Paragon, really cool place!

I got all "sharked up" for the occasion!
(I hope you like my pose)

Look at this jabroni!

I also visited the Magnum Café, here's a great example on how to take an awful picture - Fill half of the picture with the ceiling, works especially well if it's not decorated!

It was pretty.. Meh. I most certainly won't come back, haha.

Since I don't have IMAX in my country (because it sucks) I HAD to go and see a movie in IMAX.
I watch Pacific Rim (IMAX 3D) on the premier, I didn't know anything about the movie before I went to see it actually, but I saw it and it was amazing. The movie itself was pretty good and the IMAX made it so much more epic, epic is the right word for it.

I wanted seats in the middle of the theater but I had to settle for the ones in the back, which also happened to be the most expensive seats, but they were great. Look at it! It's like a sofa, and you get blankets too, and your own "table" and cup holder. Great seats.

And the screen, goddamn, it's the biggest screen I've ever seen. And you didn't get 3D-glasses, you got a 3D-visor. I've never cared for 3D movies because I've always felt that the technique wasn't good enough yet. But this was an amazing experience, not to mention the 12 000 watt sound system, amazing. If you have an IMAX theater close by you should definitely try it out!

Gyoza and ramen!

My seat, the V.I.P table!

BBQ! All you can eat buffé, but if you don't eat it all within an hour you have to pay for all the things separately, great concept and a good way to not let any food go to waste. I tried a lot of different meats, I had things like turtle! Never had it before, pretty good actually.

Monster Hunter and Once Piece at UNIQLO

Having a "fika" with Bong.

And some lunch with Bong.

Some last day shopping, I got a pair of chinos from Forever 21 and a BB cream from ÉTUDE HOUSE. (Wrinkle reduction, SPF45/PA+++ and skin whitening.)

I didn't buy it, but there was an interesting cook book...

And after a month it was time to leave, sad day.

And here's one of my favorite items from my trip!
